Could be an exciting 90-100min.

If Clarke and Hussey get their eye in without losing a wicket, it could be very exciting cricket with Aust. trying to get a lead of 150 by lunch and send Sth.Africa in to defend 2 sessions....obviously a draw is on the cards but Clarke will be trying every trick in the book to get the upper hand before progressing onto the 2nd test....cheers

Neon, after a bit of early excitment with quick runs on the agenda it was always going to pitter out for a draw.....the commentators tried to build up some excitment as if Aust. had a chance but as soon as we saw the rain coming down on Sat. it was never going to be anything but a draw really...
All things equal leading into the 2nd test which should be a cracker with some good old fashioned sledging to be completed.....

aus have got it to win the series. i think sa are too reliant on amla nd kallis nd once they r out its hard to win

Think you might have a point. Surely at some point they'll be relying on Rudolph and the lower order to make runs.

even against england if amla and kallis dint score runs, then SA would have lost quite easily, but I put aussies favourate to win the series. they know there conditions very well.

I still back the saffers. They may be relying on a few players but Aus are relying on even fewer.

Amla - Smith - Kallis.....they are the strongest batting combination I have seen for years.
It feels like you have got 2 batsman out when one of these 3 are walking back to the pavilion.

Don't forget Devilliers either as he too is a class batsmen.

AB deVilliers was a class act. Ever since he has been asked to keep wickets, he faded a little. When did he fire last time? In England he was hardly noticeable.
