At least they'll have £48m over the next 4 years in parachute payments to look forward to, unless they get back into the Premier League, when they'll probably have more!

Read an article in WSC the other month which said that due to the cash boost from Sky buying the rights to show it the team that finishes bottom of the premiership in the 2013/2014 season will get the same amount of cash as Man City earned last season for winning the league.
What sort of a chance do teams like ours have against relegated sides that will be getting such a massive cash injection to fund their chances to return to the Prem?

Football is losing support from people who enjoy all kinds of support. Comments such as ' I prefer to support rugby there's too much money in football.' Diving, cheating, pretending to be hit in the face is part of the win at all costs mentality because of the financial implications of failing. All this is turning people who follow sport in general away from football. Parachute payments are obscene, it deliberately encourages struggling premier teams to throw money into a lost cause knowing that the Premier cartell will slip them a load of money to give them a better chance of coming back up than their Championship rivals who spend carefully. It is time the gob sh' s running football put the fair play system into being instead of just saying it will happen.
