I thought I heard him say he'd never been on loan as a player.He must have wiped the 7 unspirational games at Bradford City(penalty kings) from his memory.

He would have done well at Leeds with Hoyle as chairman

I miss Simon Grayson managing Leeds United. That is all.

Simon had issues in the backroom, he lost the dressing room long b4 he left. The December of that QPR season was the chance, but his inexperience and Ken`s "issues" ruined what was a major chance to go up automatically.

Both January transfer windows in the Championship season were unmitigated disasters for whatever reasons. But he left with Leeds still close to the play offs (although they probably wouldn't have got there after losing Howson), and we've been on a slide ever since. Southern, Norwood, Beckford, Church. These are players that should've come to Leeds had the boardroom backing been good enough!

^ thats why i cannot stand Ken Bates....one or two signings in January that year and we would've got auto, 100% sure of it....i knew, you knew, every Leeds supporter home and away knew it....

But we dont spend money do we....and look what happened! Another monumental balls up for Leeds! And since then the atmosphere around the place is at an all time low, far worse than when we got relegated to League One. I've never felt so low following us, its one lie after another....it will be years before we are challenging for promotion

Agree gelderd82 - never been lower in supporting Leeds than right now. Not even sure if GFH takeover is the right way forward.

We certainly had the momentum after beating QPR at Elland Road in December in what was a fantastic atmosphere. However it's not easy to bring in signings in January. QPR picked up the best player in Routledge on loan, Norwich added Wilbraham and Tierney, Reading didn't sign anyone significant, Swansea got Britton back before getting in Borini and Priskin on loan, Forest signed Findley and Tudgay as well as Knochesky and Boyd on loan, and Cardiff brought in Jon Parkin.

We made 3 loan signings for the last 2 or 3 months bringing in Lichaj, Livermore and Bannan and to be fair the results seemed to go downhill when Livermore and Bannan arrived.

It was a tough league that year so i can accept missing out on promotion. What i can't accept is not acknowledging how well we were progressing and how important the likes of Johnson, Kilkenny (to a lesser extent) and Gradel were to keep to sustain our growth. We should have built on that team, we didn't, the team is now shiite, the crowds are shiite and the feeling amongst a lot of fans is very negative.

I stood by Grayson when he was with us, the same as I did Mac, its a funny one that because a manager with a proven track record at this level is doing no better!..

I said I hope Grayson doesn't come back to haunt us, I wish him all the success and happiness where he is now, and still say it doesn't matter who is in charge at Leeds, at the moment they'll have the same problems as all that have been there since Brass in pocket took over!..

Wise did great with Gus at the helm, Gus I'd have back yesterday!..
