You can be blasé about some things, but not about Titanic. It's over a hundred feet longer than the Mauritania and far more luxurious.

The largest ship in the world when it was built and supposedly unsinkable, it struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic on its maiden voyage in April 1912.

Edith Haisman (27 October 1896 – 20 January 1997) was one of the last remaining and oldest survivors of the sinking of the RMS Titanic in April 1912. She was the last survivor born in the 19th century, although seven younger survivors outlived her.
