He's absolutely right, in games like these both teams will be completely 100% motivated. You see it time and again in derby matches.
I believe that the result can tell us a lot, either about Arsenal or about Mr Wenger himself:
If Arsenal win comfortably, it shows that Arsene has trouble motivating his team for other matches - football, like it or not, is very much based around psychology. Since both teams will be fully committed to this game, if Arsenal win with relative ease it will show their class and also show that they have no excuse not to be performing far better in their other matches (btw. I don't take this rubbish about not being physically at our peak). Either Wenger needs to rapidly improve at motivating his players, or our players need to improve at motivating themselves.
If Arsenal lose and play badly, then our problems aren't to do with our manager's motivational problems, but far more to do with the quality of our players. I'm afraid we can kiss 4th place goodbye.
If Arsenal lose and play well then you can't draw too much from the game except for bad luck.
If Arsenal draw, then this shows we are going to be in a scrap with spurs throughout the rest of the season for that final champions league spot.

If Arsenal lose and play badly it has nothing to do with the manager's motivation abilities?
He couldn't get us motivated for a facking trip to OT. This is a load of rubbish.

You miss my point, Arsenal players will be fully motivated for this match simply because of the fact it is a derby vs Tottenham. So if they lose you can't blame the manager for not motivating them as they should be fully motivated already.
Verm everyone is entitled to an opinion so I'd appreciate it if you were a bit less patronising

There is no guarantee of this whatsoever. It is the manager's job to motivate the players, not the fixture list's. A lot of these players have never heard of nor have any ill feeling towards Spurs whatsoever. And the players that might (Jenkinson, Wilshere, Szczesney) have been playing well anyway or not playing at all.

You make a good point. I just feel that in derby games the crowd gets fully behind the players so it's hard not to be fired up for it.
If we lose and play badly at home to our biggest rivals for 4th (this year) when we should be pumped and just as up for it as them, I think that will be indicative of where we finish at the end of the season.

what crowd our fans barely make a peek at the emirates i guarantee spurs fans will make more noise then our entire fans at todays game, actually any away team makes more noise at the emirates.
