Kissing Cameras Stats

Manchester United have won 12 and lost just one of the last 14 league meetings with Norwich.

Ryan Giggs scored at Carrow Road in the first season of the Premier League (1992-93) and the 20th season (2011-12). Giggs has netted in three of the five Premier League meetings between Norwich and United at Carrow Road. Giggs scored his second ever league goal in 3-0 home win over Norwich in September 1991.

United have won seven and lost just one of their last eight visits to Carrow Road in all competitions.

The Canaries have won three and lost just one of their last six Premier League home games and kept four clean sheets in that run.

Manchester United have recovered more points from losing positions than any other team in the Premier League (15) and they are one of two sides who have not dropped any points from a match where they have taken the lead at some stage.

United have conceded first in seven different PL games this season but have won five of them – only Swansea and QPR (eight) have conceded first more times.

United have seen 13 different players (excl. own goals) score for them in the Premier League already this season, more than any other side.

Norwich have scored with only 7.3% of their shots at goal this season in the Premier League; a lower proportion than any other side.

Manchester United have scored 12 goals from crosses in the Premier League this season; more than any other side.

Javier Hernandez has scored in five successive appearances for Manchester United; netting seven goals in total during this run.

Wayne Rooney and Jonny Evans are Manchester United's major doubts. Rooney sustained an ankle injury during last week's win at Aston Villa, when Evans missed out completely with a groin problem. Robin van Persie is expected to be available after missing Holland's midweek friendly with Germany.

Sir Alex Ferguson: “Certainly after last Saturday’s experience we don’t want to lose two goals and be having to fight back all the time. That’s certainly an Achilles heel on the one hand this season. The fact we’ve got players who can change the course of the game is certainly a big advantage to us. When Chicharito came on last week the game changed completely. You actually don’t expect it. You don’t expect to be behind by two goals. That’s the part that you always find difficult. It’s not that we underestimate anyone - it’s just that we don’t expect a Manchester United team to be behind."

= Dangermen!

Norwich will again be without defender Russell Martin (back). Midfielder Alex Tettey pulled out of the Norway squad for their midweek friendly with Hungary with a minor back problem, but should be available. On-loan Tottenham striker Harry Kane continues his recovery from a broken metatarsal.

Chris Hughton: "I was under no illusions about the scale of the task I was taking on at Norwich, so I can't say I'm surprised by what I've found here. Given the resources this club has, the strength of the squad and the quality of opposition we are up against on a weekly basis, I would say this is the toughest task I have taken on in my career."

Its not just one loss or today though.... Its the same mistake over and over again... Surely he can see the lack energy in midfield is the issue, if not he flaming should

yeh but norwich isn't tottenham!

Fergie's stubborness is his biggest weakness.

He chooses players he likes as opposed to players who are best

Valencia over Nani (I know he was injrued today, but in past games) because Nani wont sign a contract

Giggs/Scholes over Ando/Clevs due to sentimental reasons

The alternating of keepers

He needs to keep things simple and play his best XI as often as possible just like CIty/Barca/Real/Bayern etc do

I personally think saf with his old age is sentimental to old age players he had when he was younger.

If saf was at arsenal viera ljunberg would be still playing as arsenal first xi midfield.

Why wouldn't we moan? We know what to expect from the team we have. If we didn't have the players, then fine. But we do, our losses this season have been due to Fergie's team selection and I've not seen a United that doesn't think so...

I agree with Smalling_Jones. I remember last season at Barca, it didn't matter if Pique was one of the best CBs, Pep dropped him when he wasn't performing, for weeks. its funny how Fergie wouldn't drop Valencia for having a shocker buy he'll drop Nani in an instant. Let's not even talk about our pensioners!!!

I actually don't think Man Utds team is that good, they are missing something in midfield, it's fergie thats getting the best out of them!
