Morning fellow Irishmen and women.
Just a thought on the Norwich city midfielder. Thought when he came on against the Greeks he showed something I haven't seen for a long time in an Irish footballer - the ability to actually hold onto the ball and then pass it. Have to admit don't watch much of Norwich so never really seen much of him, but as well as his impressive cameo v Greece I thought he was superb against United on saturday controlled everything.
It wont happen but I'd love to see him in a three in midfield with the abilityto provide support to Shane Long in the next qualifier v Sweden.
We can't get away with playing 4-4-2 away from home
Here's my team assuming everyone is fit:
...............Westwood
Coleman O'Shea Clark Wilson
...........McCarthy Andrews
McGeady Hoolahan McClean
..................Long
Though this will be the actual team:
Westwood
McShane StLedger O'Dea Ward
McGeady Andrews Whelan Cox
Walters Keane
Browse:
Wes Hoolahan

Thats pretty much spot on team that 95%+ of normal minded irish fans would pick. Unfortunately we somehow are stuck with a half mad geriatric manager who neither has the first clue or seems to care about playing our best premiership players in a formation that suits them so we're stuck in his 80's long ball timewarp!!
