Sad news, but he was always fighting an uphill battle to get him back at his age. Hope they retire him tbh

Looks a straightforward exercise for Long Run now,who will be a lot fitter than he was for the race last season.
Also, many felt Imperial Commander was robbed of a dead heat result in the 2010 race..certainly didn't look beaten a nose in the photo I saw !

Sit down and listen to Nigel Ive got something important to say
How is a horse robbed of a dead heat when he was beaten into 2nd place?

Nigel this is another attempt by SA to get a dig in at Kauto Star in every possible thread...to be fair its a skill he has mastered quite well

Why is it a dig DDB ?
I am merely stating the obvious !
Did you think Kauto Star had won the 2009 race then ?
IF he did he won it by a hard-fought nose...at level weights...hardly the performance of a superstar !

Yes indeed and while we are about it I will state some more obvious comments...Imperial Commander took his revenge on Kauto Star in the following Cheltenham Gold Cup when he would have beaten him out of sight IF Kauto Star had completed the course...one of SIX occasions where he failed to do so...including being pulled up twice !
Happy now ?

That Imperial Commander bt Kauto in that Gold Cup isn't obvious it's your personal opinion. He fell so its not obvious wat would have happened had he stayed on his feet. You my scrabble playin friend have got to grasp the difference between what actually has happened and what your mind think might have!

Ruby Walsh stated that Kauto Star was flat out on his feet when he fell and ,as usual,he would have finished behind his superior stable-companion,Denman,had he stayed on his feet...a remote third at best !
Maybe you know differently ?
"IF" you do have something important to say, make sure you have done all the necessary research first !
