Has it never occurred to some of you that Sturridge might not actually be greedy, and might just trying to make the most of the opportunities given to him in a Chelsea shirt. Being in a team so crowded with talented players, I reckon Sturridge is probably just desperate to prove himself as a good player in his short/limited opportunities.
If he is Anfield bound, I'd rather give him the benefit of the doubt. The guy can play in all 3 positions upfront and can be deployed as a classic center forward. Brendan said we're bringing in reinforcements and other option in January, Sturridge would be a great addition for the rest of the season and then in the Summer we can start to think about big name signings.
Sterling/Assaidi------------Suarez/Borini------------Sturridge/Suso
Its not exactly a disastrous attacking unit is it.
Sturridge isn't greedy

He's got talent but very arrogant. Think he's greedy myself.

Did he not turn down a £50k a week offer from City to stay as he demanded £70k. This was when he was still in the youth team.

Id have him at Anfield but £15M too much - more like £10M should be the mark.
Everyone knows how desperate we are for players and hike the price

It would depend on the price for me. I wouldn't pay more than £10m for him and that's being kind.
I'd much rather see a Ba or a Huntelaar come in first, then we can worry about wide forward.

10m player but we will probably pay 20m!

He had extortionate wage demands after featuring in about 2 first team games, and was booted off to Chelsea. Yes, he is greedy.

I wouldn't pay £8m for Sturridge, let alone £15m. He is awful, don't care what others think, i have seen him plenty of times, he doesnt get his head up, he isn't a team player and he is more wasteful in front of goal than many think. That sort of money can be spent so much better for our cause.
No thanks.

Would prefer a loan deal in Jan until the end of the season and then make a decision if we should buy.

He might not be greedy but he's still pants...
