This is truly a strange one as the rumor has originated from The Times. While the Times is a Murdoc paper, it is not one to needlessly creates and jumps onto silly rumors. Had it been the sun or the Mail we could have laughed it off, but the source it more reliable than usual.

I actually think that this KIND of signing might be a good idea. Someone who wouldn't cost a lot but would bring some experience and steel to the centre of midfield.
