I would like to congradulate Rafael Benitez on securing the post at Chelsea, and hope he has a very succesful couple of months there. He can finally show the English media, and armchair critics that they talked utter nonsense when he was with us.

Go on Rafa!

No offence Pool fans, but it is patronizing in the extreme to say Chelsea fans should be glad Rafa is here, after we stab another manager in the back.

Are Liverpool fans turning into Spurs fans now and adopting Chelsea as their own due to their love of Rafa?

Not sure how came to this conclusion. Odd.

Fair enough Fabio, but Rafa did not win the league,so that may have been an issue.
Roman sacks Jose and RDM,who win the league and CL?
For me,Rafa is a red,ta a degree,and RDM was a Chelsea man.
Rafa will get the boot soon too,as Pep comes in,but it is all silly now.

Chelsea used to have a great record against United in the 90's while we were one of the top sides in the country and they weren't. Liverpool are the same. Not really a match for them.

Bluebell. Console yourself with this. With Roman's money Rafa will buy his first choices, not the cheap option. With Roman's money you would be lining up with Silva, Mata, Vila, Alves etc.
You have the best attacking midfielders in the prem. He knows how to set a team ti defend and Torres will be used correctly. As long as there no in fighting you/he will do extremely well in my opinion.

i must be one of the few United fans who really RATE Rafa. I recall being lambasted a while back when i proffered a robust defence of Rafa Benitez's record as a manager.
This could turn out to be a fine appointment by Chelsea.
Win-Win IMO - especially when you consider chelsea's 'interim' managers (not saying Rafa is) like Hiddink, RDM and Grant have done quite well.

Cheers Return
Just feel some have stabbed a decent Chelsea man in the back today,as they did to Vialli and Wilkins.
Pity the game is so reliant on money and powerful ego's.That's life.
Night folks.

Rafa did well at Liverpool but is also directly responsible for the mess you are in at the moment.

If it's any consolation most of our fans want Rodgers to do well as well(just not on top of us obviously).
