After all the speculation in the papers regarding fergie chewing over the idea of bringing ronaldo back, do u think he'd be the same player he was before he left for Madrid?
Personally I would say he isn't! He's got extremely lazy in my opinion, he doesn't track back hes extremely theatrical, and he plays for himself more than ever!
The ronaldo of old did track back a little, linked superbly with rooney, and rode tackles and challenges all match long. All he does now is wave him arms around and look at the ref!
In the plus side he is a goal machine given the service or not, easily the second best player on the planet! Can make goals out of nothing too. But would we be a much better team with him? Could fergie fix his bad habits? And who would be sacrificed to accomodate him?

Just to jump in on the kompany debate...
I thought he was outstanding last year but, like a few members have eluded too, he does seem a little off this season... Which isn't bad for us
Just hope we get vidic back to full fitness and playing as he should!
I have been impressed with Evans this year tho... He's stepped up to the plate and carried Ferdinand at times!

The ref seemed pretty determined to me to not give free kicks to Ronaldo. Two bookable fouls from Kompany in the second half went without even giving a free kick. In answer to the question, of course I would take Ronaldo back and anyone who wouldn't is crazy.

He has looked the same player on a few occasions, not that many tho. We still have the best defence in the league going off goals conceded, and it could of been wrong but i read that we have had the least amount off shots at our goal. So not too worried at the moment

Kompany tends to not start seasons well, not having a settled formation has not helped him either.
Last night, I thought he played very well though. Don't just think about when Ronaldo had the ball, look how many interceptions were made in the second half before it got to him and there were a few wayward passes in that second half too due to Kompany pushing up against him.
I would also say that although Ronaldo was obstructed a couple of times, there were plenty where he was more than a little theatrical. I get that you are more likely to get the foul in La Liga than you are in the PL, but Ronaldo has such strength himself that sometimes I wish he would try more to stay on his feet and play to the whistle.

I dont think anyone deserved a red card last night.
