Round 18: Brighton vs Bolton

Well we are still unbeaten under Dougie although last weekend's result was undoubtably the most disappointing of his four games in charge. However a point is a point and they all count so onwards and upwards.

This weekend we head on down to the south coast to sunny Brighton. Currently sat 7th Brighton are only 6 points ahead of us despite us being 10 places below them.

Hopefully we can get a better result this week than we have in our last 4 league fixtures against Brighton- played between Sept. 1979 and Jan. 1993 Brighton have won all 4.

Team News

Brighton goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak should return to the side after missing the last game with a finger injury.

On-loan left-back Wayne Bridge is a major doubt with a calf injury after seeing a specialist in Germany.

Bolton full-back Stephen Warnock will be given a late check due to illness after coming off against Barnsley.

Striker David Ngog was also withdrawn in the same match, but the former Liverpool man should keep his place in the starting XI.

Predictions

Hopefully Dougie will have made further progress addressing our defensive stupidity and we can sneak a win. Doubt we'll pick up a clean sheet however. So, 2-1 win to the Wanderers, Ngog first goal.
