FT Brighton 1-1 Wanderers LIVE match thread

A long trip for some Wanderers fans today, but not my brother, who lives in Kent. Spare a thought for those Whites who have been up before dawn today to get to the Credit Card Arena in Brighton.

The clubs have only met 12 times in history (8 in the league, 4 in the FA Cup), with 4 wins apiece and 4 draws. In other words, we are a class above. We haven't played them for 20 years. You can read a Brighton fan's view of today's game here: http://www.burndenaces.co.uk/2012/11/23/qa-with-brighton-hove-albion.html

Did you know?

Brighton is immortalised in the Graham Greene novel, Brighton Rock, and the seminal 1979 Mod film, Quadrophenia, which ends with a disillusioned Phil Daniels ragging a stolen motorbike off Beachy Head.

Benny has been battered over the head with a PVC willy by some Brighton gaylords.

LargeHat thinks we are the envy of the league. That might be true until the rest of the league plays us. Even Peterborough are eyeing us as an easy 3 points....Barnsley fancies us for the return leg.
We are living off prior reputation as a recent Prem club.... and worse some blokes on here think we are still a Prem club.....we are not.....until evidence is provided on the field.

thanks for your concerns guys.there was 5 of us in a pub near the station when coming towards the end of the villa v arsenal game on espn when a bouncer came over to us and asked us to leave.as we were doing nothing wrong we stayed were we were.about 10 mins later another bouncer came over and told us we had better go for our own safety.a large crowd of brighton fans had cottoned on to the fact we were bolton fans and were giving us the evils.my 4 mates made their way out and got a bit of a kicking as going out leaving me wetting my pants as i finished my pint.for some strange reason they did not have a go at me but it was a very scary moment as i walked out through the crowd of them.tried a pub down the road but the bouncer would not let us in telling us to get out of town.after a bit he relented and let us in but a group of brighton fans came in and gave us some evils.we decided to give it up then and caught a taxi to lewes were it was much calmer.

Better I suppose, but since I no longer have access to Uncle Phil's paper supply, I'm sure you could come up with something more imaginative LH

Bunny - glad you got out unscathed. Been a few years since I've seen bother at away games.
