Swansea City and Liverpool played out a lively goalless draw on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.
Both sides showed some good football throughout the match, with Liverpool probably just the better team. It was the hosts that started the match better, but Liverpool soon started to settle and came close on a couple of occasions to taking the lead.
Raheem Sterling came the closest with a brilliant effort that he lashed against the crossbar, and then minutes later Jose Enrique was just offside as he tapped it in at the far post.
In the second half, Swansea seemed to improve and looked dangerous when they attacked. Stewart Downing presented substitute Nathan Dyer with an opportunity when he made a mess of his attempted pass back to Pepe Reina, but the goalkeeper saved his team when he came rushing out to deny Dyer, and received an accidental kick in the face in the process.
Sterling should have done better on a counter attack when he received the ball from Luis Suarez as they were racing in on goal, but his return pass to Suarez had too much on it, forcing Suarez wide and the chance was gone.
And just minutes from the end of the game, Jonjo Shelvey had a good effort well saved by Swansea goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel, and the match ended as a draw.

BR played our two least effective players in the positions we most needed them to be effective ie. the left back Enrique up front/left wing and Henderson. Henderson is useless.
Behind Suarez, Sahin is now the best player at the club but he was on the bench.
Rodgers needs to sort this out.

Most likely.

Enrique was brilliant today, I think he makes a very good left winger. Downing at left back, definitely not. He almost cost us the game today and Reina had to save us despite getting kicked in the face.
It's a decent result but disappointed that we didn't win. If only Sterling had played a better pass to Suarez in that counter attack, we would have won it.
