I went to the match yesterday and felt we still lack the cutting edge up front.
Waghorn looked good and back to his best but I thought Vardy looked out of his depth. Admittedly it is a massive step up for him but he's definitely not a 1st choice championship level striker.
A new forward signing in January could be the difference in us going up this season.
Speaking of January, I do wonder if we'd sell Knockaert if a Premier league club offered lets say £10m+ or an amount that was difficult to turn down.
Hopefully not because I think our midfield looks the best It had done for many seasons.
Up the Foxes!
Knockaert & Vardy

I think in an ideal world, it would be good to have another experienced and capable Championship striker in the squad.
In reality though, we've hit the net in all but one game, lots of players finding the score sheet, Waghorn seems to be improving every week and Nugent (although out for another week or so) has scored 9 in 17.
I think Vardy was actually playing very well before his illness and it's understandable that he will take a while to get fully fit - he has scored 4 in 9 games for us, which I think is good.
Taking all this in to account, and under the assumption that we are playing the same way and in the same-ish league position come January; financially, I'm not sure the owners will see enough justification to sign another striker.

We already have several strikers who aren't proven at Championship level without including Beckford in the squad.
Waghorn at Championship level - goal every 5.26 games
Beckford at Championship level - goal every 5.88
