The silence is deafening?
After a good win against Brum, only one win outside the playoffs and just 3 points behind our big spending neighbours....?
And poor Cardiff arrive Tuesday evening ('poor' because they were forced to switch colours and play in red... could you imagine anything worse?) who have already lost 5 on the road.
Makes for an interesting game tomorrow?
It's quiet on here!?

It looks like Nigel and his team have found another brilliant bargain in Jacobs. I don't remember how little we paid but it was not very much.
I do remember at the time being disappointed at the signing of Coutts and Jacobs - wondering why we weren't signing bigger names. But clearly I was wrong. Nigel obviously has an eye like his father for a good young player.

Jacobs was around £400k or it would have gone to tribunal and Coutts was £150k.
Coutts is an unbelievable bargain at that price. His manager at Preston took a disliking to him and dropped him. Similar to Ward at Sheff Utd. Picked up 2 cracking players for nothing cause the managers didn't like them.
Jacobs was being looked at by a few clubs but chose Derby because of our/Cloughs reputation for giving youngsters a chance. Looks a great player. Has shown he can take a player on down the wing or cut in for a shot Marco Reich esq.

Pablo - good comparison. Or Nigel Callaghan for those of us who can remember the 1980s!

Typical NLN - paying peanuts for players. What a cheapskate.
Forest would have never signed them because they didn't come with huge reputations and price tags to match..

Jacobs looks a real prospect, typical old fashion winger that we havent had at Derby in a while. Thought second half he tried to do a little too much at times but an outstanding home debut. Coutts and Brayford ripping there defence to bits and are going to be a real handful who ever we play. Hope people are seeing what Sammon brings to the team, he's not an out and out goalscorer and add Jamie Wards quality at the side of him they could form a very dangerous partnership

I don't think Nigel gets the credit he deserves for his talent spotting. Also, when I mention NLN to Forest fans they think I'm being snide about him. They haven't the Brains to see what a fantastic talent this is for DCFC. Billy just wanted "stellar signings" until even ND could stand no more

Just to add, I also think Jacobs was no way looking for a penno, unfortunate decision, didnt deserve the card, and oh yeah, he's looking to be great bargain!

Does Ramdini ever change the record?Or is the same old rubbish time and time again? Constantly banging on about how brilliant non league is. Ill informed rubbish about Billy and ND. Blah blah blah, it's all nonsense

It isnt only me seeing memories of Callahan Micklewhite and McMinn flying down the wings - I still think a side looks a much more balanced footballing team with 2 good wingers.
Coutts and Brayford must be starting to attract the attention of opponents as when they're on song they tear sides apart. Shaun Barker said "defending with Bray is a nightmare sometimes you've always got to try and stop him heading down the wing" it was hilarious.
That partnership, Hughes in the middle and Jacobs and Roberts down the left was a pleasure to watch at times on Saturday.
