sunshine on Leith

Just back from the game, a very happy tim.
Think we have found a gem in kelvin(yeah I know first game and all that) but where we were a bit rusty in 1st half, he wasn't, a great burst of speed over 5/10 metres dominating on high ball and passed out of defence to a Celtic player every time.

Most players up to speed second half and it shoud really have been 5 or 6 especially the offside goal. Ki and Joe were immense and Kayal cannot be sold on, this bhoy is the real deal.

Up front a little bit wayward with going offside a lot but Stoakes took his goal well, maybe lucky with goalie but there were 3/4 defenders in front of him and he picked his spot(sign of a striker in my mind) and Ki well left or right that bhoy can ping a football and that in my mind is why he has more in his locker than broonie.

All in all a good performance, lots of pluses and no minuses this weekend.

Hooper looked a bit rusty, couple of dodgy offside decisions.

commons needs to play on the left, too predictable with the cutting inside.

yep i thought once ki and kayal got in control we bossed the whole game.kelvin wilson looked confident and comfortable the whole game, great debut fi the big man.hooper was pretty much non existant but he'll come good again no doubt.all in all a good day at the office fae the bhoys

Agree that commons and hooper weren't up too much. Don't think commons does enough on the right. Izzy startet poorly but got better as the game went on. Kayal and ki bossed cm like they should be. Ki's passing was quality at times and he had a bit of a change of pace about him. Haven't seen him carry the ball like that before

Agree aboot Kelvin but lets remember
1. Its Hibs, the only team with a bigger self destruct button than us
2. He playin beside some of the biggest imposter's to ever claim to be centre halfs, Billy McNiell must be turning in his complimentary seat

Hooper takes a few games to get his match sharpness back. It was the same last season when he returned from his injuries.

Was extremely pleased with that second half performance. This is the best midfield we have had in years and I'm very optimistic about Wilson at CB.
