Hatem Ben Arfa

He would be our ideal purchase in January in my opinion.
Quick, tricky and scores goals.
What do you think? Do we want him? Would he want us? Would Newcastle sell? (Carroll + £10m?)

Possible team if he came:
---------------Reina----------------
Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique
-------------Lucas - Allen--------------
---------------Gerrard---------------
Ben Arfa ---Suarez --- Sterling

Any feedback appreciated.

"I don't think being compared to Taarabt on ability is an insult. "

Seriously though, taking away all my bias, it is. Ben Arfa, along with Santon, are so far ahead of the rest of our players, it's silly.

Also the reason he hasn't pulled up roots is because he's only played one season since he was 22.

Carroll AND £10m

That means we've given Mike Ashley £45million pounds

----------------------
Maybe, but that £35m is gone now and it's not coming back so it should really be forgotten about in terms of future transfers. Ben Arfa is worth at least £10m more than Carroll now. I rate Carroll, but he'll never reach anywhere near that kind of value again.

Well how's about, for a change we hold other clubs to ransom.

I still can't believe we let Mascherano go such a small fee.

Happy with the Torres figure mind

£20m for a holding player?

That is about as good a fee as you get for that position.

Only attacking midfielders and strikers go for more than that.

So we made a profit of £1.4m

Wow.

We really know how to milk the other teams.

It should have been £30m or do one.

And when they did one, we would be left with an unhappy player for another 6 months while his contract wound further down, lowering his value even more.

Yeah, great business sense that.
