Juan Mata

Next captain? Some say he is too quiet, lacks leadership, and so on, but look at how well he has progressed in under two years.

Speaks brilliant English.
Is always working with Chelsea off the pitch.
Established himself as are most important player (in my opinion).
Never hear a bad word about him.
Popular with the fans and respected by opposition ones.

If he can become more of a mental presence on the pitch, I think he is the perfect player to lead this club. Saying this, I do still think until JT retires/leaves Chelsea or becomes more of a fringe player, it should be him. No question about it, he's a leader and a strong one at that.

The way he put his body on the line yesterday multiple times like Terry doesproved he deserves to be captain
