Just got back from the game, which although the football wasn't great, had three great goals.
Theres no doubt we deserved to win, just.
The crowd was well behaved, before, during and after the game, ok there were two pitch invasions, if you can call them that, but there was no malice in them.
But then its what I would expect, as being a Wimbledon fan since 1991 and a MK Dons fan since 2004, I have never seen any trouble.
I really enjoyed the day, both sets of fans played their part, and both sets of players gave their all.
I recorded the game on ITV, and have just watched it back.
There were a few things however I found a bit odd.
Firstly both commentators kept calling us Milton Keynes Dons, and not MK Dons, which is what we are always called when we have been on Sky TV.
It appeared that the guests in the studio had also been told to do this, the Wimbledon legend Lawrie Sanchez and our ex manager Martin Allen, who I cant imagine has ever called us Milton Keynes Dons were both doing it, as if they had been told to do so.
Yet they all kept calling AFCW, simply Wimbledon, which they are not.
The cameramen and their directors were also very biased, as close ups of the AFCW fans outnumbered close ups of the MK Dons fans by about 5 to 1.
The same could be said for the audio levels, on the TV it sounded as if the AFCW fans totaly out sung the MK Dons fans, but this was far from the truth.
But there is nothing new in this as AFCW seem to have some very high connections in the media, who have an intense propaganda machine in constant operation.
Mind you when Lawrie Sanchez was asked which team he played for, he said neither, as he played and scored the winner in the FA Cup Final for Wimbledon NOT MK Dons or AFCW.
This is odd as AFCW want to have the replica of the FA Cup, yet the goalscorer who won the Cup for Wimbledon says AFCW didnt win it.
I was actually surprised at how many ex WFC fans were in the home sides support today, as there were loads of Wimbledon shirts, hats and scarves, which was good to see.
Anyway one thing that came clear to me today is that MK Dons must never drop the " Dons " tag.
COYD.
Biased ITV commentary

10 years ago, we were in the 9th tier of English football and Franchise was in the 2nd tier. 10 years ago, we were derided as a pub team of deserters.
Yesterday, a Wimbledon team recognised as the true Wimbledon and playing just one division below you, came within a whisker of knocking you out of the FA Cup, while outsinging you in your own stadium. And you're trying to gloat about it? LOL Seriously, ask around a few actual football fans to find out how desperate you look to them. Really, no need to take my word for it, you'll get the same message from anyone you ask.
It really is sweet the way you're trying so hard to be proper fans and try to lord it over us, but all you'll get is a pat on the head. Enjoy the 3rd round - it's a shame we're not in it - but then we remember '88... and '75... and the '63 Amateur Cup win... and... well, you get the idea. See you next time your cup final against a pub team comes around.

Poor old Bath. He's had a rubbish weekend, none of his predictions came true - and best of all, he's really niggled.

Still not understanding how AFCW can claim WFC's history.
As I said earlier, in his interview on ITV Lawrie Sanchez said that the goal he scored at Wembley was for Wimbledon and not AFCW or MK Dons.
He says he never played for either AFCW or MK Dons.
Going on the logic of some AFCW fans who believe they have won the FA Cup, FC United of Manchester can lay claim to Manchester United's trophy's.
AFCW and FC United were both started as protest clubs, granted for different reason's but both as protest clubs.

Bath, did you go to the match or did you watch on TV?
Because if it was the latter the sound of the crowd will be dependant upon where ITV put thier microphones, as to who appeared louder.

Bath,Ardley has got them playing true Wimbledon style 8 men behind the ball at all times and kick it as far as you can.TBH 2 or 3 of the AFC players should be prosecuted under the trade description act for calling themselves footballers.
