Although we lost against the top of the table team, we showed good character and had chances ourselfs and since Bothroyd wasnt in the team due to injury (which I hope lasts a little longer-sorry but its the only way that he wont be selected) that we played with more purpose and looked more resolute, when Sid went off and Madine came on, he showed he cared and got into good positions, something Sidroyd could do to save their lives, if Madine and COG/Rodri played every week then we will im sure we'll climb the table. Also it was good to see Jesus back for us (Wheres his infamous locks gone??) It just goes to show that we play with more heart with players like COG, Madine, Jesus and younger players like Mayor too, even Taylor hada good game too so I hope he continues to prove me wrong!
Im sure if we play this team next game we'll pick up some points and I hope that DJ finally see's that "Sidroyd" DOSNT work!!
As a whole, disapointed to lose but it was encouraging, im confidenet that if we continue with this team we'll be ok!!
P.S. What happened to Semedo? Injured?
UTO
Its funny!!

Lose against BC and Barnsley and he will surely be gone. he has lost it anyway IMO and its a matter of time. Better showing counts for nowt I'm afriad - its all about points and we ended up with nada.
As for Semedo, he is only good in a 5 man midfield. Prutton may be a bit past it but he adds a bit of bite and, unlike Semedo, can actually pass the ball. Once Prutton gets up to speed, he should stay in the team, short to mid term at least.
As for DJ, well, Pruttons position is a classic example - shipped out on loan and then bought back when all else fails. I wonder when Reynolds, Coke, Beevers and Palmer make an appearance...
Like everyting else this term, no plan, no thought process, finger in the wind. It is all so frustrating - though at least it won't run forever.

Didn't we have our first shot of the game after around 60 minutes? Not a brilliant endorsement of our attackers.

Also, what gets me is DJ, being the precarious position that we are in, his insistance on playing the likes of Bettyroyd and relying on him to come up with something "that bit extra" (which he cant do anyway really) to win games, in this position I dont want us to play nice footy and lose, I want us to battle and nick one nill wins and players like Bettyroyd are NOT the kind of players to do this, players like COG and Madine and Jesus ARE, if we are to get, hopefully anyway, a few wins then we need to stick with players like these to achieve that, we need to get into "Megson Mode" in times like these coz nice "tippy tappy" footy wont achieve anything when we are where we are!!! I just hope that DJ finally see's this!

Actually it was around the 23rd min mark, Sid, yes SID, had a go at a shot...even had a corner out of it...via defelction ...then it wasnt till the 60th min
To be fair though we all expected an onslaught seeing as they were top and it didnt suprise me that we didnt have as many shots.

Its funny.....without that evil little terror Bothroyd in the team we still lost.
How did we manage to get so walloped by Watford but only conceed one against Cardiff?
I think its that lazy, useless waste of space Semedo. Sooner he gets sent back to Portugal the better if you ask me.
Anyway, as long as these battle royale, dog-fighting, spirited Spartans that we have playing now keep up their work rate we will be midtable for sure.

Did anyone see the headine on the OS after the Cardiff game?
Its read "The only thing we're missing is the points"
<clap><clap>
Well, done DJ, I think you might be on to something there.
<idiot>

Blimey, DJ's right you know!!
His Interviews are getting as good as Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf's (or Comical Ali for short)!!
Seriously though he is getting more and more clueless by the game, how can he go from Einstein to Sam Dingle in a matter of Six Months

Earlsfield makes a good point, nobody expected us to beat Cardiff so it was a creditable performance, however, we must beat Bristol C and Barnsley or at least win one and draw the other or things will be looking bleak at xmas.

1 's better than none I guess
Anyway, Bothroyd...immobilisation boot...how apt...one suspects he has been waring them since he graced S6!
