Left back on Wednesday?

I was thinking about the team for Wednesday and it seems to me that who to play at LB is a real poser.

Mulgrew? I think it suits the team when he's at left back, we seem to have a better balance. It would however leave him exposed to McGeady's pace

Matthews? Has done well in the CL games and has pace. I don't think he offers much in the way of attacking options from the left though.

Izzy? Has a bit of pace and offers us good attacking options but he can get drawn out of position.

I would go for:

Forster

Lustig
Ambrose
Wilson
Izzy

Brown
Kayal
Ledley
Mulgrew

Samaras
Hooper

I suspect Ledley will play wide left midfield to help out the fullback - I would think Izzy! The other option is the tried combo of Mathews LB and Mulgrew left mid Either should do the biz this game as we will be well fired up for it

2 holding men in midfield allowing the other 3 to get forward and support hooper.

Matthews might play LB which would mean Mulgrew in midfield then either Kayal or Commons would probably miss out

i'd start Lassad but he wont

Lassad will probably make the bench Ghod. Gives us another option.
