I'm glad that the AFC game is now done and dusted, thankfully all seemed to pass without any trouble, I wasn't there yesterday unfortunately as I couldn't get the time off work although I did manage to arrange my lunch hour around the 2nd half and so saw most of the action. The stadium erupted when we grabbed the last minute equaliser and I don't think i've ever seen us celebrate a goal quite like that.
Shame about the draw, would have been nice to get one of the big boys but I feel we can turn Sheffield wednesday over and hopefully progress.
I do hope however that all the excitement from the weekend doesn't affect our league form and we can keep this run going. Brentford away on Saturday is going to be a tough one and I'd certainly be happy with a point, I think i'm going and hope some of you are too.

Glad it's all over

Woolwich Arsenal wasn't a nickname it was the name registered to a football club affiliated to the F.A.
The Dons part of your title was stolen from Wimbledon.which you call a nickname so true because you nicked it.

Groovy - Hmmm... your logic is somewhat awry here, but anyway... MK Dons had Dons first , but I don't complain if AFCW use it too if they like.
If it bothers you though, I hope you will ask AFCW fans to be courteous and drop the Dons claim.
And do let us know what Tranmere fans say about the Rovers bit when you ask them.
My sons football team once thought of calling themselves the Seagulls, but then we thought 'Uh oh! Brighton won't like that' So we thought of Hornets... but Watford eh? They play on a Wednesday so maybe ... nah... someones already had it.

Ah yes - and then there's Aberdeen - you must get on to them quick as well.
Enjoy your evening.

The only team in the world with another club's nicked-name in their team name. Unique. Uniquely stupid.

So its OK to take part of the orginal club's name as in Arsenal and to take their nickname "The Gunners". I hope you are agreeing with this Bubbles.
BTW Is it true that members of WISA were enjoying a few drinks at Stadium MK. It's just a rumour I heard?

Its not the name its only 3 letter of the name, and as the owners moved the club to Milton Keynes, it was the same club. therefore, when the Sainted Mr Winkelman came to an arrangement with the Aministrators (something AFCW seemingly didn't even consider), he obtained the League permission to change the name. Therefore everything was legal and open.

Furz, they probably realised it was safe to and enjoy a drink because a certain person wasn't there

Yesterday I was reminded of Erik Stupidsen saying AFC Wimble (Formed 2002) won the FA Cup in 1988 . Uniquely stupid!

Wash your mouth out with soap UTF. St Stupidsen is always right and the media lap it up. Can't believe the reports on the match. Captain Gleeson scored in one report.
