1 goal every 2 games is a very good goal:gametime ratio

Another thing to consider is the amount of goals which were Game Changing Goals(opening; equalizing; match winning) for last season out of Sturridge's goals last season 69% of his 13 goals were GCG - compared to Torres who scored 11 goals but only 1 of those goals was a GCG(against Swansea).
Lampard and Sturridge won us the most points via GCG last season.

Also remember Sturridge was playing as a Attacking Right Midfielder last season with only 45 minutes as a striker against Blackburn.
