Dons X1 v Ampthill

Opted to go and watch the lads V Ampthill on Saturday opposed to paying £14 to Oxford...
A very young team was fielded against a very tough, big group of hardy Ampthill blokes who i think scared the life out our poor kids.
What was very pleasing to watch was the football the lads played. In my opinion they outplayed Ampthill and had our lot taken their numerous chances in front of goal they would have beaten Ampthill. Although they lost 4-1 the result was unjust as Ampthill basically scored 4 out of about 5 chances opposed to our 6-7 dead cert chances.
great one touch footy played by the Dons and lightning breaks. They were a credit to the Dons name and a good prospect for the futre, you can see where Sammy and Co learnt to play.. The only area they need to improve on is their finishing and shouting / talking to each other. All you could hear was Booming Amthill Town calls and voices and encouragement throughout the game.
Harry milton also looked very good, confident on the ball and nearly ready to break into the 1st team. He made one dodgy pass across his box that was penalised with a gift goal but all said and done a great display by Harry and our lads...
