Vince McMahon Issues Statement on CM Punk and the TLC PPV
By Marc Middleton
Dec 5, 2012 - 6:54:23 AM

- WWE's website has published a statement from Vince McMahon regarding the injured WWE Champion CM Punk and TLC. Here's part of the article and a photo of the statement:

"WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon has released a statement through his office, speaking to the developing situation surrounding the WWE TLC pay-per-view. Because of the previously reported knee injury to WWE Champion CM Punk, suffered this past Monday night on Raw, Punk is unable to compete at WWE TLC against Ryback Sunday, Dec. 16.

In the statement, Mr. McMahon also announced that a Six-Man Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match has been added to the pay-per-view, in which Ryback will team up with WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No to battle The Shield. Furthermore, for the first time ever, the winner of this TLC Match will be determined via pinfall or submission."

punk will be champ at rumble no matter what happens at the TLC PPV

I'm not convinced this injury is even legit. I think it's just a good way of keeping Punk on as Champion until the Rumble without once again hindering Ryback's momentum. It's a clever move really and good for everyone concerned.

The main event seems a bit squib now not having a title match but I don't understand why Big Show and Sheamus could not headline the show.
