Kind of linking to the thread earlier in the day, is anybody going this weekend? Or has anybody been to pride park previously? I have a close friend in derby so know the town quite well, but have never been while watching leeds so dont know where to drink around the station or on the way to the ground! Ill be getting there about half 10 from wakefield and heading back around quarter past 5. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. WACCOE.

Oh I almost forgot.
There is also a bar in the station.
Should be, thing is I used to live in derby so when it came to us playing them we just used to drink at mime before heading over to the ground so if I am honest I don't know where our fans tend to drink.
However if I had to guess out of the three I would go for the trendy over priced place, as its big and has sky sports, which is always a draw for any fans looking for a crafty pint before a game.

Not going and never been to Derby, but I'll throw you my moneys worth.
I often just go into the first pub I find. Rare to not find Leeds fans about, and there will usually be regulars and friendly opposition fans to chat too.
Pompey away last year I was the only Leeds fan in the pub but had a great time.
With Mattyp's superb info though you won't go wrong. As long as you're friendly you'll be sweet. Have a good day buddy and safe travels!

Thanks lads! Yeah pompey away last year was epic, was in a pub with loads of essex and sussex whites. Like you've mentioned, ill end up finding somewhere to drink no matter where it is! Enjoy rest of your week and heres to another 3 points at the weekend!

To be honest I've always lived by one simple rule when drinking in a new area.
Does it have bouncers on the door?
If yes, go drink somewhere else.
Bouncers are a big advert saying, hey look at us, we expect trouble.
That rule has never set me wring yet

Bang on Mattyp.
Also the reaction when you walk in. If everyone turns and it goes a tad quiet, pretend to use the bog and walk away.
Mind you I'm 16 so walking in a pub alone is a tad scary on away days.

If you're getting in at 10:30 then there isn't enough time to get into town before KO so just head for the Brunswick. Turn right out of the station walk 200m. It's a great 'real ale' pub. Just around the corner from there is the Alexander, again great for real ale. 20minute walk to the home of football from there.
Looking forward to our 24th point from 8 games

Iwas, does the Merry Widdows let away fans in? But yeah, the Brunswick is a class establishment. Try it out.
