In the wake of Balotelli's backheel and the large number of players indiscretions, I was wondering what we want from professional footballers???
- Ultimate professionals both on and off the field.
- Noble private lives but massively passionate (win at all costs) on the pitch
- Rockstars lifestyles off the pitch but a proffesional on it
- Rockstar types both on and off the pitch (Gazza)
Personally I invest so much time thinking about football i'm happy with the players earning sacks of cash, and blowing it all on cars, celeb wives etc so long as it doesn't impact their game and they don't go down the Joey Barton/ Stevie Me route.
Also the Prem could do with more showboating an forwards humiliating defenders.

If it were 1-1 in the Manchester derby, with 2 mins left on the clock, I could understand Mancini frustrations.
In reality it was a pre season exhibition match, he needs to get off his horse.
I will be trying much the same at footy tonight.

Couldn't care less what they do off the pitch as long as they give 110% on it.
By the way, if they're nice blokes off the pitch but a bit of a twit on it, that's no good either. Drogba is good example, nice bloke in person, bit of a prat on the pitch though.

its funny. since the giggs story came about, a lot of utd fans have taken the stance of "couldnt care less what they do off the pitch"

The guy is a jerk...50,000 watching looking for a thrilling exhibition, and the guy lays on disrespect...'we can beat you with our hands tied behind our back' attitude...fans didn't pay good money to see that! They wanted to see how well Manchester City played, not how egotistical they are...end of rant!
