Am I being over optimistic in thinking this could be another Ipswich type result?
I am not trying to be disrespectful to Barnsley, but at home I cannot see any other outcome.
I know in this division any team can beat any team on their day blah, blah...
We should be able to put this game to bed early on, and then build on our already healthy goal difference.
Again Tykes fans, this is not on your board, as I do not wish to disrepect your club, and I know full well these things can come back and bite!
I will be ready for this come Saturday tea time if we "have a 'mare!" .

Well, I haven't ever seen City lose a League game at the new ground so there is no reason why that shouldn't continue. I'll be in H1 Row W for a change.

I understand that Barnsley have 1 point from the last 7 games, so I'd be amazed if they did anything other than park the bus for this one. I think this may be a fixture where we as fans need patience - I can very easily see it being 0-0 at half time with murmurings of discontent from fans who think we should be 4 up.

Hmm. This would be the Barnsley that took 4 points off us last year? Who have already beaten Birmingham (5-0) and Charlton (1-0) away from home, and got a creditable draw at Bolton in November.
I think every side in this division needs to be given respect - if any team thinks they've got an easy victory coming up they are half way to losing. I'm sure Nigel will not allow the players to fall into that trap.

After this opening it was only ever going to go the way of us failing to get a win.
