So I'm not sure what name to give them now

Should we call them Pacific Shelf 595:

http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/the-celtic-football-and-athletic-company

Or HMS (402)?

http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/celtic-fc

I kinda like the ring of HMS (402) because it sounds a bit like part of the forces that a section of their support despise.

Probably get more bites on the wummery with that one....

Mitre, my point was that Duff and Phelps in their reports did not state that Rangers FC PLC were cut up into 2 companies, one of which was the Football Club, one of which was the PLC. In fact, in the definitions section of their report to the creditors in July 2012, they make that clear:

Rangers / the Company / the Club
=
The Rangers Football Club Plc (In Administration)Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow, G51 2XD (Company number SC004276);

Looking at that, it does not state a difference between the two, and does not state that the club and the company were hived apart into 2 separate companies. Nowhere does it say that, and nowhere does it state that Rangers FC PLC was a holding company of Rangers Football Club. All it says is the following the refusal of the CVA, the business, history and assets of the Company were sold to Sevc0.

You ask about Leeds, well, I haven't read that much on Leeds, other than what I remember from when it was happening. You obviously have--why don't you give me some links and I will look at that. The situation in Italy was very different, because there was a statute of limitation on Oldco Fiorentina's debt, which when it expired, allowed Newco to buy it and merge the two.

Rangers FC Limited will of course claim the history, just as other clubs have done so. It is all very subjective anyway. MK Dons don't claim the history of Wimbledon, even though they bought the company and took it out of admin, and neither do Airdrie Utd claim the history of Clydebank.

Meanwhile, AFC Wimbledon do claim the history of the old club, even though they have no direct link--and I agree with them on that one, by the way.

=============================

Thats because they were not.

They were split into a company and business.

Ive got a huge amount of details on the leeds scenario I can supply, but im in work just now so will post them on a new thread for you later.

Also if you go back into my post history you will see examples debunking the Airdrie scenario.

As I said thick as fluck these dhims. Celts is failing to accept reality.

Tell me Celtic what exactly is/was the business of Rangers FC PLC?

Why did Rangers FC PLC get renamed?

Oh and Celts they don't need to explain step by step for people who fail to have the legal nor business knowledge. Why would they need to say they split it into two parts? They report is written for lawyers and business people. They don't need it spelling out unlike yourself.

Business = Rangers Fc and all the brands and trademarks etc
History = History of Rangers FC in all the glory
Assets = All the places used by Rangers FC

If you want to come back and explain your view on UK law I welcome it.

Rangers formed 1872, incorporated 1899, liquidated 2012.

But yes, the assets and history etc of the Company were sold off and are now owned by a new company.

Sevc0 own Rangers Football Club history. but that history was created by an entity that no longer exists

There was a legal transference of economic entity. That's undisputed.
