Standing

A simple question if a political party agreed to allow standing back in football grounds, providing safety systems were in place to ensure the area used complied, would you consider voting for them..

1 yes

5 no

Buddha, if there was 2 parties, with the same portfolio except one was offering standing and the other wasn't then I would definitely vote for the standing. I support a blue Square South team and most of our ground is standing only. That's where the fun is.

If it was safe then yes, a sensitive subject for sure but there is a generation of younger fans that have missed something that was proper mental an amazing.

I miss the old kippax of the eighties.

True loz - but that was then and we were young and mental and the idea of danger never occurred to us.

old on a minute "danger"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dad/grandad like thousands of others would pack themselves into OT every other Sat, just like I did in the 70s & 80s.

More danger riding a bike to work.

You can't be serious. Voting for someone because of something so trivial

You're sort of half right ONH. Generally there was no problem but standards of policing and stewarding were poor back in the day, so if you got a really big crowd it could get scary. Happened to me at the old Wembley of all places due to stewards being too dim to spot it was getting over crowded. But I miss it, all seater stadiums never reach the same level of intensity.

I would love it back! The Germans do it so why not! The younger fans have missed out on what a true great atmosphere is

Whats the problem????

I've sat in the Streford End and the Matthew Harding stand at Stamford Bridge on a few occasions and have stood for the whole 90minutes....

You only have to sit down in the side stands because of the kids which is fair.

Why is their an issue as if no one stands at games????

To be fair, every away game I've ever been to, I have stood pretty much the whole game.

It wouldn't be difficult tow irk out a safe number of people and only allow so many in to the stand, surely?
