Fans Even More Defensive Than Their Team

It has been quite noticeable just how defensive the Rangers fans have been over the closed season up until now. They seem to have lost the ability to have a laugh at themselves, and have become a very thin skinned and prickly lot.

I ask the question, are Celtic fans really to pass up so many golden opportunities to have a wee chuckle at our poorer neighbours?

Things like UEFA, FARE, HMRC, Lloyds, The Fakeover, Europe's oldest rookie, The Rangers Biscuit Tin, no borrowing facility, the promise of millions but the offers for thousands, Ortiz, Carwos where uhr yee? etc etc etc are all manna from heaven and titbits which are far too good an opportunity to pass up. So live with it Bears and stop being such a touchy lot. Your like pre pubescent girls lately.

Have you checked Alistair Johnston's quotes while he was still a director, where he clearly states that there was £25m funds to be made available to strengthen the team over a five year period???

I'll ask you again, what do tou consider Whyte meant when he said that he would go " way over what was originally budgeted for ".....

Do you think he meant thousands or millions?

Take your time

It is believed the £5million the new chairman said he would invest in the team in his first season is in the bank but there will be more if McCoist wants it

Notice the word " said" in amongst all that

No one said he did...warbling he was accused of and bumping his gums.

Oh and making derisory offers of less than the above

McCann didn't bump his gums about a war chest though...did he?

So who did?

Willie,

That is how every newspaper was describing your Chairman's comments. Are you blaming me

Mr. Elite tried to compare the two, I simply stated that McCann had a different approach. He wasn't constantly telling the Press he was going to give " way over what they had budgeted for"...

You can create your own headlines and as I said, it's well documented what Whyte's plans were.

No point shooting the messenger

Jessy as far as I'm aware we're still in the market for a few players. The window doesn't close for over a month ffs. Like I said, another 2 maybe 3 players and I'd be happy enough. The same goes for Celtic, you need a striker and a keeper but there's been nothing as yet. So are Celtic dragging their heels? Or are they just not prepared to pay over the odds for a player? The latter I think, same goes for Whyte. Although "£3.50 and a bag of haggis" was taking thepish
