A first defeat for Dougie's Wanderers last weekend has ended our little unbeaten run but still leaves Freedman with the honour of having the best start to life as Bolton manager of anyone in the post-war period.
However none of that really matters.
What does matter is that we are 18th, 8 points behind the play-offs and 16 off Cardiff at the top of the pile.
Now that 16 point gap is not one that can't be closed in this crazy league but it would require an awful lot of luck, a massive winning streak and for everyone above us to have a 6 game period where they forget how to even say "football" let alone play it!
So promotion is looking increasingly dependent on the play-offs.
And even that is going to need the players to start playing a hell of a lot better than at present. Time to start winning ugly and closing out games rather than simply hoping we'll out score the opposition.
If Dougie didn't already realise the scale of the job he has taken on he will do after last weekend.
Team News
Not heard anything yet other than the news that Holden is now training one day on, one off to ease him back in. So fingers crossed for a return in January.
Predictions
Huddersfield are struggling for form and have some key players out. So a win for them probably! However I am going to go for a 2-0 win for Wanderers, Ngog opener.

How are you handling the fact the first goal was an og??
Do you ignore it like the bookies and award the next goal??

Well last season I just counted any goal. However I'll go with the popular vote this time round.
