Moist, Wilshere has been above expectations considering his time out, but far away from being the best player in the team. Come February he'll be back to his best.

Certainly not playing 'to his best', as stated, he's been out for what feels like a lifetime.

The reality is, almost to a man Arsenal players have been underperforming, some quite frankly have been woeful and don't deserve a pay cheque, they've been that poor.

Jack, for my money, has been one of a few who has got stuck in and played without fear, and try to actually play. Some of these pros are scared and playing like it, that's damning, VERY damning!

Arteta, good player, but must give way for a proper DM come January.

Agree absolutey, shows more passion than most within the squad, just think he still lacks of of sharpness, particuarly with the ball at his feet.

I love the guy, hate what Wenger is doing to him. Playing him every week in a holding role. The guy has had injury problems throughout his career yet Wenger is still running him into the ground.

And what makes it worse is I see so many of our 'fans' having a go at him, unsurprisingly, they are the same people who thinks the sun shines out Wenger's ass.

Oh and ffs I wish people would stop saying Wilshere has been poor, considering the time he has been out I think he has been brilliant since he came back and is my choice for captain, wouldn't give it to Arteta simply because I don't think he should be starting every week whereas Jack is our best player and should be starting every week.

I don't think he is too young or inexperienced, he has played at the highest level for us and has been our standout performer, he is passionate, gets stuck in, talker on the pitch and our best player.

I would rather Sagna was captain but he is as good as gone. But apart from those 2 I can't see any other candidates, Arteta is a top pro but I don't think he is captain material, Vermaelen definitely isn't, only other potential captain I can think of is Szczesney.
