While it's not too indepth, it does contain some information. It seems like he was fired for finishing 9th on his the penultimate season and a poor start to his final season (only lasted until September).

The chairman was'nt too fond of wengers "up and at em" approach to football.

as i understand it, he left after finding out that marseille had been fixing matches - he became a bit paranoid (justifiably so) over the possibility that some of his own players had accepted bribes.

I remember this coming up last season. Can't quite remember all the details, but there were some similarities between Arsene's last days there and what was/is still happening at Arsenal.

Relying on youth whilst selling established players... that kinda thing.
