I know there are a fair few Redknapp butt kissers on the Spurs site and fair play to you. Yes, he gave us some exciting football no doubt. However, his start at QPR is amusing me. I loved how he rolled up at Spurs giving it the old 2 points from 8 games, and talking as if he was a miracle worker when he kept us up! Hopefully he is now realising how huge a mistake it was to turn down the new contract Spurs offered him to keep him from the England job. Goes to show he needed Spurs more then we needed him. Good luck tomorrow Tottenham - it could be a major result if we can get 3 points.

There's a zeal among some of our lot about him failing, this article being a case in point, which is quite strange.
It does lead me to believe it was never about the football with a lot of people, and the collapse (which was my reason along with similar for the seasons before) was a smokescreen to use. It would explain why expectations have been lowered for the new fella too.
Here's foid for though: The OPs "Loving Redknapp's results so far!" headline, with the bad start which has amused him. 3pts from 3 games incidentally that is 1pt better than AVB's first 3 at Spurs without the benefit of two home games.

"If he'd been bad mouthing us in the press since he left I'd probably think the same but he's been nothing but nice to us on MotD."
1. Restraint clauses <Levy>
2. He has perhaps been advised how to conduct himself in the media (sic) so as to not appear .

That's pure conjecture though isn't it. Even if point 1 was true, you can still do it in a subtle way without out-and-out caning someone.
If people felt so strongly about him as a person they should have made these feelings felt when we were flying. Strangely enough the fickle nature of fans means ours turned a blind eye to it until it suited their agenda.

I wanted him gone after last season too. Mine was based purely on the pitch though and had zero to do with his mouth or what's in the gutter press. I learned that that's just the way he is, you are never going to change it, so tended to ignore it.
Perhaps the fact my reasons were pitch-related is the reason I have clashed with many over AVB. The high standard I set of Harry and the poor performances we endured in spells made my mind up. The new man simply gets the same scrutiny from me, whereas he probably gets leeway from many regarding expectations because he is a politician in public and not Redknapp

"you can still do it in a subtle way"
The word "subtle" and Redknapp in the same sentence.
Do you see the fatal flaw in your comment ...

Well, we had warning about that possibility from the season before.
Some of us assumed he had learnt that lesson and the run-in in 2012 would not be a repeat.
Some of us were badly wrong.

I don't wish bad on him. As far as all the managers in the PL go I hope he does ok, as he is English after all, and we don't exactly have many of those that do well.

RBDB - the point is that was window dressing for a hatred of him as a man. Do you think if AVB blow a double-digit lead, or finishes 5th or 6th this season he will be wanted out? I doubt it, excuses will be prepared.
The fact is if he was so vile as a man and there was so much hatred for him you shouldn't hide it when results are going ok as it's as fickle as it comes.
