Pacquiao: No excuses, I'll be Back

Pacquiao made no excuses about his 6th KO defeat to Marquez. He said Marquez deserved his victory and the boxing fans were also the winners, who witnessed one of the great fights of our time.

Pacquiao went on to say he is looking forward to a nice rest but will return to the ring.

He admits he go careless and got hit by a punch he didn't see. Marquez called it a perfect punch, which Pacquiao walked on to doubling it's power.

Ironically Pacquiao boxed his best ever against Marquez, winning 4 of the 5 previous rounds and he would have taken the 3rd if not for the KD, and he was up in the 6th until the last second.

Pacquiao, showed a lot more head and body movement early on, making Maquez missed and hesitant to throw. Pacquiao landed straight left and right hooks.

Marquez could not get much success to the head, so he went to the body, and to the body again.

Pacquiao dropping his guard slightly and in the 3rd Marquez lands the monster overhand right hook, with Pacquiao maybe expecting another body shot.

But Pacquiao recovered well, finished the round strong, and started the 4th with even more purpose and aggression and made the adjustments not to get caught big right overhand right again.

He put Marquez down in 5th, broke his nose and had him on shaky legs going back to his corner. Marquez landed some big shots as well and it was a great round.

In the 6th Pacquiao jumped on Marquez again, and it looked like Marquez would not be able to take much more, I thought Pacquiao could have him out of here in the next 3 rounds.

He hurt Marquez again but Marquez landed some good straight rights too, Pacquiao was winning the round, but in the last 20 seconds, Marquez landed a few jabs that Pacquiao felt he had to answer and Marquez's face was a bloody mess and was chasing the KO.

You can do that with any other fighter, who will try and struggle when they are hurt, or just try and survive the round, but it is when Marquez is at his most dangerous and landed an almighty straight right, which Pacquiao walked on to, bang on the chin.

Pacquiao was out cold, got a little worried after about 10 seconds, thought Marquez had kill him.

Pacquiao recovered fine, got the all clear from the CT scan in the hospital later, but the fight was over and Marquez got his deserved victory over Pacquiao by the way of KO.

Marquez, Pacquiao are open to a fifth bout and no doubt the fans will be as well.

Great Great fight, I said it would be epic, and it didn't disappoint.

Say what you want about politics but I believe Manny lost his advantage when he stopped fighting bigger guys at catch weights. He lost a bit of his power and speed when he committed to moving up to 47 for, instead of draining his opponents into zombies.

best fight i've seen in years

2 great ring warriors

this is what boxing is all about, and what has been so sadly lacking in boxing for a while (heavyweight division the worst offender obviously)

Mayweather would embarass Pacman

posted on 10/12/12

Mayweather has embarrassed himself with all his ducking.

Lets keep this thread about fighters who are willing to step up to the plate and put it all on the line.

Mayweather won a unanimous decision after 12 rounds in a lopsided fight; scorecards read 120–107, 119–108 and 118–109. Marquez landed 12 percent of his total 583 punches, while Mayweather landed 59 percent of his 490 total punches

Mayweather said Pacquiao is too good, unatural, how he can walk through Cotto and KD Mosley.

Marquez didn't make excuse why not to fight, he fought and won.

And triangles theories don't work.

Stop embarrassing your self, and start giving praise to two great warriors, instead of some guy who is on vacation.

Is this not an excuse???

Ironically Pacquiao boxed his best ever against Marquez, winning 4 of the 5 previous rounds and he would have taken the 3rd if not for the KD, and he was up in the 6th until the last second.

This sounds like another excuse

Pacquiao, showed a lot more head and body movement early on, making Marquez missed and hesitant to throw.

This sounds like excuse number 3

So in the first paragraph you say Pacquiao made no excuses but you have made three for him.

The fact he got careless as you say is the main reason that he cannot expect to fight Mayweather and have a chance of going the distance never mind going the distance.
