Didn't enjoy the game, but enjoyed the result! Thought we completely lacked imagination and allowed Stanley far too much of the ball - if Beattie had made the starting line up I believe we may not have done as well as we did!
Just cannot get this prediciton thing right either!!

A ugly win, but still a good day at the office for the Brewers. We got the goal and sat back for most of the game after that. There was a little spell in the second half where we had Stanley on the ropes and could have put the game to bed, but we do not punish when we have a chance to do so.
Ok a win is a win, its 3 points on the table and many people who dont go to watch the Brewers that much will think everything is rosey
Ok i do think things are much better than last season , but most die hard fans will know there are a few cracks that GR needs to sort out.
The hoof football is my biggest worry as the ball just keeps coming right back at us time and time again.
Come on GR sort it out before we get spanked.

Well, I can only echo the above really. Dreadful game, superb result. The blustery conditions weren't good for football.
Only one side tried to play football. Some lovely pass and move stuff from Accrington but they were toothless upfront. We did a lot of hoof ball again but I have begun to expect that - sadly.
The weather wasn't that bad for the spectator but I found myself looking forward to the final whistle after about an hour.
Special mention for Dean Lyness. A few well taken crosses that he held on to, did well to back pedal to tip that goalkeepers punt down field over the bar and that save he made low down in the second half was superb.
Every game Zander looks heads and shoulders the best player of the 22 on the pitch.

I'm in the top half! Not bad for someone who's from out of town.

I enjoyed the game chaps, certainly not the worst performance this season. At least it was end to end stuff and i do agree they did play some good passing football but as you say Otep no punch up front.Zander and Calvin were the pick of our players and i will be truly thankfull if we can hang on to both of them when the transfer window opens in January. Our good friend from Swindon well done so far but you watch me start shooting up the league in the new year.

Thought the goal showed the sort of football we are capable of - just do not show it enough and reverted to hoofing the ball after about 25 minutes.
Defensively again we are looking strong and with Bell sitting in front of the back four it is a good unit. Don't believe we have the right quality in midfield - yes Mags put in a great pass, but he goes missing - constantly, Palmer and Taylor I don't think complement us as a team either - we are missing the a midfielder who can pick a pass coz up front we have goalscorers.
No moaning, just observing, I am delighted as all Albion fans should be with our showing so far this season, three points off play offs, 3rd round of the FA and other good cup runs, it has been a very enjoyable season so far.
