Even as an Arsenal fan, I felt Cazorla dived but my justification was - about time we got something going our way too after a long time.
But at work today, two mates of mine swear that Cazorla was hit and that they had watched the replay over and over because they had recorded the match. and then i read this;
http://arsenalarsenal.wordpress.com/2012/12/10/if-you-think-cazorla-wasnt-fouled-you-must-be-blind/
Is their some cover up being attempted by the Arsenal faithfuls or really Cazorla was touched? Will appreciate a gif or video that one can look over and over in order to clarify this issue. Will be nice to shut up the witch-hunters.
It could be Cazorla was hit

It was a dive, but fans won't admit to it, they would rather make excuses for it, it happens with all teams

The picture says different, so it wasn't a dive unless you can prove the picture has been altered.

I'm still undecided, that one angle that looks like it missed completely if you watch it carefully it does actually look like he got tapped. Having said that even if it did make contact he would still have gone down way too easily.

It was a blatant dive ffs, there is a camera angle that showed this. I remember there were pictures suggesting Aaron Ramsey's leg had broke before Shawcross even made contact with him
Just watch the video and the truth is plain to see.

It was a dive.
In fairness, I think it was one where he expected contact and automatically went down (which is still absolutely wrong, and should be punished) than a blatant attempt to fool the referee.

Good point but the question remains; was their contact or not?

That picture proves nothing. You can't see if he's contacted him or not from that angle.
Personally I believe he did touch him very lightly, but of course it was still a dive even if he did, it was just a dive after getting touched.
But I don't know why Arsenal fans won't just leave it. We got a bit of a gift and some other fans don't like it? Big deal. It's not like it matters now anyway.

I saw the game and it was a dive.

Its hard for some fans to admit its a five because of all the flack they give other players from other teams that do dive. All teams have players who do it, its part and parcel of the game now unfortunately

I dont think that picture is even the one from the penalty is it? Was a dive plain and simple. Naturally not happy with it but we got the win so all's well that ends well.
