Saturdays Game

What an occasion! I don't normally go in for these sort of things but the video before the game brought a lump to my throat, which wasn't a bit of pie before anyone says. So many brilliant memories, the 9IAR time especially, what a time that was!

Half time as well, seeing John Greig out there and the obvious pride that the old players felt at being Rangers Legends was brilliant.

The game itself was a big improvement. The team is looking good, great movement and passing! Some cracking young Scottish talent on display, Hutton, Mccleod, Templeton and McKay make up a cracking attacking midfield. We just need a decent striker because Kyle is honking.

We should've won by about 10

I thought Kyle missed a few chances which I'd expect him to score - a couple of easy headers. Maybe he just needs games to return to his legendary sharpness in front of goal

Super- So did I. His head is like a magnet for the ball and his "ability" to beat defenders to 50/50's was impressive.

For me the most shocking performance was Shiels. You'd think a professional who was so reliant on one foot may take the opportunity to improve his weaker one in a lower division but Dean's obviously avoiding that. Daniel Day Lewis' left foot is better than his!!

Westend exactly what I thought about both Kyle and shiels.

Shiels played well in the first half but in the second he was worse than a man down and should have been hooked earlier

Do you think Shiels only having one eye effects him?

the best team we have played this year is ICT and 3-0 flattered them, although they were worthy winners.

_________

Did you miss the 2 one on one sitters they missed that night?

I'm not sure Partick, not overall as he lost the sight as a kid so his success has always come with one eye. There was one time on Saturday though (first half) when he fell onto his knees around the box and the ball spun across him behind his back. As it went past him he seemed to take forever to register it was there to be won, I thought then that having one working eye may have hindered him.

It must do on some level, if you close one eye your peripheral vision is hindered by your nose so it must affect him, but he probably doesn't register this as it's been like that for so long.

In no way do I think that's the reason he's so Rafael with his left foot but!

he actually had the one that doesn't work removed a few years ago.

Bizarrely his for improved, it caused pain and concentration problems apparently.
