I think the ideal solution to the current problems surrounding Arsenal could be solved by:
1. Wenger moving upstairs into a technical director role
2. Getting David Dein back in to work alongside Wenger
2. Getting Guardiola in to fill the manager post
Easier said than done, I know.
But despite having been trophyless for the past few years, Arsenal are still a prestigious club and would hold an attraction for many managers. I believe Pep would certainly consider us, given our philosophy and style of football.
I love Wenger, we all do, and I still want him to be part of Arsenal in an important capacity. The man loves the club, and that's precisely what we need, people who love the club, in the midst of all the businessmen milking it for all it's worth.
That said, I think we need a fresh, hungry manager to shake things up a bit. Someone with a strong will to win, like Wenger used to have. Much as it saddens me to say it, I think Wenger has lost the edge he used to have and this is understandable given the number of players he's put his faith into and they've left without hesitation, along with the constraints he's had to work under. The Wenger of old would never have accepted Ferguson personally phoning him asking to sign his star player.
I think we're lucky that Wenger hasn't left earlier for another club (such as Real Madrid), and we have to be appreciative of what he's done as manager, we take for granted CL football, who do we have to thank for that?
But unfortunately I don't think Wenger any longer has the ability to instill a winning mentality into players, for various reasons, not necessarily through fault of his own.
Thoughts?
The Ideal Solution

That would be the ideal scenario.
Wenger to go upstairs and still be apart of the club and Pep to come on board.
Yes, it doesn't guarantee success but we are not going to challenge or win anything under the current regime.

Still don't quite get the whole Guardiola obsession that the media and some fans have. Can't doubt his success at Barcelona, but that was a place where he was part of the furniture, and the majority of his players had been brought up playing the style and the system they employed, not to mention the talents of some of the players he had. No guarantee he'd have the same type of success elsewhere.

There is no guarantee with any manager. However, pep will follow Wenger philosophy on how we like to play the game.
Ps: he will probably also have first dibs on the Spanish talent

Arsenal need definitely a new manager and coaching team with fresh ideas. Wenger has been too long in the
job and whilst I am all for loyalty I do think that it will be
very difficult for a new incumbent director having to look over his shoulder with Wenger in background.
Guardiola was definitely very successful at Barcelona
and probably would be the sort of manager that the club is looking for. Whether Arsenal in its current state
would meet his expectations is another matter.
One thing is for sure Guardiola would be stark raving
mad to go to Chelsea. Noone worth his salt would take
this job. It is a poison chalice.

Let's look at Guardiola's options:
Chelsea: Stupid chances of being fired, not ideal for any employee
Man City: If he wants to prove he can do it without resources being handed to him this is not the place to go. Same as PSG.
Italian Club: Don't think he suits the league.
Man Utd: Still think its Mourinho's...
Dortmund: I would go here if I were him, club with lovely fanbase and a team that would suit him. Limited financial backing?
Arsenal: Would be a project, that if he brought success to, he would be regarded as an all time great.

Wenger is 1000 times the manager Guardiola is.
