Fifa Xmas Tournament Group A Preview

Here are the previews for the upcoming Fifa Xmas tournament as this is just a spin-off tournament and not an official one; certain things will have been omitted. Merry Christmas to all taking part!

Group A

RVP

Team: Udinese

Odds: 8 – 1

The gift I would get him for Christmas: A tennis ball

Newcomer RVP got a favourable draw compared to some of the players in his group and this should stand him in good stead, have no idea about his ability, but if he can make Udinese tick, then he should progress out of this group and probably exit in the quarter or semi-finals.

Robin

Team: Krylya Sovetov

Odds: 10 – 1

The gift I would get him for Christmas: Official Oxford United Annual 2007

After a long hiatus Robin is back to participate and it is not the easiest of welcomes. He has been handed some weirdly named Russian team in a group with significantly stronger opposition. He does like to play as a lesser team though and that is always handy for a shock or two. Expect him to pick up a win, but not to progress.

Kent

Team: Stuttgart

Odds: 2 – 1

The gift I would get him for Christmas: Nintendo 3DS plus games.

A great opportunity this is for Kent to finally win a tournament, though it is not in the main series it is still one that he will want to win and with certain people not entering, he has his chance. Stuttgart is a decent team for him and will get him going, but I still feel one more person will pip him to the post again, he’ll trounce the group.

Saint

Team: Mexico

Odds: 11 – 1

The gift I would get him for Christmas: Jack Wilshire poster

Saint makes his debut with a middle of the road team in Mexico. He says to put him down as a minnow so that I shall. Having got Mexico he should cause a few problems amongst the other also-rans in the group.

JAG

Team: Molde FK

Odds: 11 – 1

The gift I would get him for Christmas: A jobber’s membership card

JAG has been handed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Molde, the champions of Norway! Amazing. Unfortunate for him they are probably the weakest team in the group and whilst JAG is by no means a bad player, this is a bad team and a road too far for him I feel.
