You asked for feedback and I've given you 20+ films that deserve a critique and explaining why they're not on your list at least (imho)...so you pick on just one that you first watched on acid and don't like.

What about the rest?

Have you seen Chinatown? What did you think of it? Not seminal?

L.A. Confidential - another great film. Not rate it?

No David Lynch on your lists whatsoever, why not?

Do you know anything about films at all? If not, why post this here?

========================

I think you need to be taught a bit of a lesson here Ensil Kimchi.

I did not ask for feedback on whether you can think of any films which I have eroneously omitted from the list. I asked for feedback on which film genre you think is the best. So you can stick that one up your cake hole for a start.

With regards to the films that you have mentioned, LA Confidential is already on the list.

The david lynch films and stanley kurbrich films you have mentioned should be nowhere near the lists ive published.

Let me tell you what the movie industry is about.

It is about providing entertainment. It's as simple as that.

It's not about giving a bunch of drop out media studies something to talk abut to make them feel superior to your average cinema goer.

The films you have mentioned are nowhere near the class of the films ive mentioned for providing entertainment. Some of them may have contributed in a very minor way to the development of the mainstream market, but they are not themselves films which are of anything like sufficient entertainment value to warrant a place on a list of great movies.

A great movie isnt one that makes the director feel superior, or makes a drop out movie studies student feel superior for understanding the director's intention. A great movie is one that provides great entertainment.

The movies that provide great entertainment are listed out in the article. A clockwork fekin orange, and david fekin lynch, is rightly nowhere near my list, because they are pretentious shiiiite.

So, basically you can take your self diagnosed superior film knowledge, and shove it where the sun don't shine. Alternatively, go and find a drop out media studies student to talk to and enjoy how much he makes you feel inferior to him due to his more detailed understanding of unenjoyable and unentertaining 'classics'.

I intended the lfiestyle category to represent films where they focused on the every day life of a character or group of characters, and their surroundings, rather than being driven by a plot to which the characters and surroundings were somewhat incidental.
The reomance category was originally called "loveydovey/feelgood".Whilst I changed the name of the category, I considered that films such as 'green mile' and 'field of dreams' were at home in that category, as the intention was that there film was about a relationship between THE VIEWER and the character/setting of the film. In that way, I believe it is viable to class those films as romances
