Lukaku and Pastore...

If we got these 2 players would you be happy?
Lukaku 20m
Pastore 40m
Do you think we need to make another signing?
If so who?

I would like a winger if possible and maybe 1 more central midfielder.

this is why I would quite like modric, because hes quick, agile and i think he would inject some speed into us which is just what we need...

but saying that, we have bought Romelu...

I'd be disappointed for spending over the £40mil mark on a single player. Why can't we just compare every player to Fabregas who looks to be going for £35m?

TORRES!

If you've watched Pastore, then you wouldn't really complain about spending £40M on him, considering our Midfield has been lacking creativity for almost 5 seasons, and also on how much we spent on Torres.

What makes a team stand out from the rest? It is when a team has that special player who can perform miracles, magic and wonders on the pitch.

Look @ AC Milan some seasons ago, when they still had Kaka, look at Mutd when they had Ronaldo. look @ Barca (Iniesta, Xavi, Messi, Villa) look @ Madrid in the Galactico era...the list goes on and on.

Chelsea were formidable in the days of Robben and Duff, ever since they left, it hasn't been the same.
Pastore is going to be like signing a young Kaka...he's worth every Million.

It would be a shame and a big blow if we failed to sign him.
I used to think that Neymar would be the perfect signing, but after watching him @ the Copa America, I had my doubts...I feel he would be a flop in the EPL.

I can't wait for the day when it would be breaking news on sky...'Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Pastore from Palermo.'

I wouldn't say our midfield has been lacking creativity for 5 seasons, most people forget that Lampard got around 10 assists a season from around 2004-20010 (basically when at his peak) it's just last season we saw his decline, Benny got injured and Carlo didn't have the 's to use McEachran.

Anyway I would be very happy if this deal came about, another central midfielder in my mind would be to expensive quite needlessly, all we would need is a left midfielder to have a very good first team XI and a backup RB as a bonus.

40 million for Pastore is certainly over the top.No doubt about his abilities, but a good season dont make you a superstar over night. If Sanchez went for 27 million Euro(excluding add on), and Fabregas is 35 million, i guess Palermo should be very lucky to have a bid of 30 million. At the moment, only Psg alongside Chelsea is linked with him.i strongly believe their deluded president will sell for any price above 25 million(excluding add on).

But his buy-out clause is €40millon so unless he wants to come to us and forces the deal or if Palermo would accept around €5-10millon less we have to pay that amount to cancel his contract and let him come to us

Pastore doesn't have a buy out Clause, the president(Zamparini) just fixed a 50 million euros on him and has been running his mouth in the media about several clubs jostling for him and how he has turned down alot of offers close to the 50 million mark for him, but in reality, no club has made a firm bid for him and it appears only Chelsea and PSG had showed any form of interest in him.Zamparini over the years has used the same marketing strategy to sell his stars players at inflated prices like Amauri,Kjaer, and Cavani and that is the reason the big clubs in Italy are not going for him at the moment.I am very sure Pastore will go for a figure closer to 30 million at most.I trust Gourlay will not fall for his pranks

Yes to both, but we also desperately need a right back. If we get all these, I am not sure AVB is ready to do the clearout that it would require.
