when watching the highlights last night both me & my friend heads turned & looked at each other in disbelief as we saw hundreds if not thousands of fans going absolutely bonkers & screaming their heads off as Tendulker walked past... I just don't get it.

What about Beatle mania etc. in England and the hero worship of soccer players.

I don't think even Beckham is worshipped like Tendulkar is.
And lets be honest, a lot of pop stars etc are adored by young girls.

Beckam has been mobbed around the world ginge - i may not watch that evil game but i watch the news - I dont think anyone that follows soccer can really knock the Indians worship of their cricket team

Indian cricket team seems to be in the habit of starting most test series with a defeat.

England team generally gives itself more time to settle down with warm-up matches when touring.

In 2007, India escaped defeat at Lord's (rain) in the first, but won at Trent Bridge. I doubt India can win the next test of the current series without Khan.

Maybe India knew England are a good side and feel no matter how hard they try England are slightly better...
Because imo this England team as very few weaknesses at all.. Where as India have. Mainly in the bowling and the batsmen are aging..
