I am sorry but I don't believe that rag, it is like the mail, it chats utter rubbish at times.
According to most jorno's the figure is £7 million in total.
If however it is true then we truely are mugs and this board need to go now more than ever!

According to who?
There is not so much as ONE official source on either side of the deal that claims the figure is £7million or even £6million or even £5million.
If I had to choose between anything that the woeful Express & Star claims and ANYTHING that the idiot Pann-who? or Our Dear Leader or le Dauphin claims then I will throw my lot in with the Wolverhampton rag.
Why do you think so many of the financial deals made by Our Dear Leader and the idiot Pann-who? are so shrouded in mystery?
Is it their culture? Or the culture of a bunch of effing liars and thieves?

I doubt the figure was that low. £5/6m plus add ons I'd imagine. Cant believe everything you read.

Its nothing new , i have known from the 60s ,that the price for players as always been exagerated by clubs , maybe to keep fans happy, its unusual that Wolves have exposed this , maybe its to get their own back , when we bought Wayne Clarke ,and then fiddled Wolves out of thousands of pounds in a sell on clause when we sold him to Everton .kro

As JK says we will never realy know.
If it is only £4M cash then that is very worrying as it means we are desperate for cash and can expect Carsons Son doing a Boot Sale Every Sunday.
And be selling off our Cup Win DVD for £1 each!
I can see Ryan now....
"wanna buy DVD"
Look we rejected a £6M bid, Muppet Mick even admited they made a bid for that much but we wanted £10M
So why would Wolves go from thinking.. "hey they are playing Hard Ball, they rejected our £6M offer and want £10M, well two can play that game and we will play Hard Ball and offer £4M take it or leave it"
Dont make sence...
Now i was told by a Wolves fan before this news of £4M came out, and when it was anounced they agreed £7M deal.
That Johnson was having a medicle and that he only cost them between £3M and £3.5M and then there would be installements ontop and then performance related addons so the fee could rise to about £6.5M
But only a Garunteed £4.5M as the other £2M would depend on Wolves Prem Status and Appearences.
Cant say if thats the real deal, as its only from a Dingle I was shocked as i thought all though £6M for Gardner was the bottom price, i thought £4M downpayment was shocking for us. And so could not beleave we would accept £3-3.5M downpayment on Johnson.
We will never know, but it just dont make sence if we sold Johnson for £4M flat fee, if thats the case why did we reject £4M from Stoke for Jerome

The thing that brings into question the credibility of the article is the fact they are saying the exact same thing happened with the O'Hara deal?
Are Wolves so savvy that they can command such as discount on two decent PL proven players from teams as diverse in placing as Blues and Spurs?
I doubt that.
If it does happen to be true, then this will be picked up by all the other teams and you will see buying and selling going on at ludicrous prices i.e. low ones yet i have not seen anything like that going on yet.
Irrespective, if the money from the sale isn't going into buy and improve the team anyway it wouldn't matter how much the likes of RJ went for, would it?

This is my oppinion of our biggest assets after relegation and a realistic valuation from me. (players left on contract).
This is as far as how important they are to our future and progression and not how important they are now (i.e Carr is important for now).
Dann £10-12M (£11M AVG)
Foster £7-9M (£8M AVG)
Johnson £7-9M (£8M AVG)
Gardner £6-8M (£7M AVG)
Thats our main Assets, other players like Zigic i think has not done enough and in combination of his wages, i feel not many clubs would want to pay over £3-4M for him (hard to sell).
Beausajour and Michel not given enough chances and so i cant see us making our money back on them.
And when you look at how we rejected £6M for Johnson, £12M+ for Dann and Jerome and priced Foster at £10M its kind of odd that we would sell for so cheap. We wanted £10M+ Johnson, £5M+ for Jerome, £15M+ for Dann and £10M for Foster.
But that was all before Yeung got arrested, since then we saw Johnson sold, and now willing to loan Foster out and then add option to buy for £4M
That means we are desperate to make cash, we cant afford to keep assets, but i still think it makes no sence no matter how desperate we are to sell Johnson for £4M when we rejected £6M a month or so earlier.
So i think we would have asked for between £6-7M but indeed could be perpared to accept a lower downpayment so as to push transfer though and make some much needed cash flow ASP.
