Celtic boss Neil Lennon has revealed he is eager to sign USA international Juan Agudelo.
Agudelo, 20, joined Chivas USA from New York Red Bulls in May, but the forward has recently spent time training with the Celtic squad at Lennoxtown.
Lennon has confirmed he would be interested in pursuing a deal, although Celtic will not follow up their interest in Buriram United's 19-year-old Ghana international Frank Acheampong, who had also been training with the club.
"Juan is someone we like," Lennon said. "We have made tentative approaches but won't be pursuing Frank. We would look to pursue [Agudelo] again but don't know where we are in terms of enquiries. A player who impressed us while he was here."
Agudelo said he would welcome a potential move to the Scottish Premier League champions.
"[It's] definitely something I thought of as soon as I heard the word Celtic,"
"I know the history. It's basically a religion for many.
"Just to have that there and have the support of the whole city would be lovely. Especially due to the fact they are consistently Champions League. Being in the group stage of the Champions League is huge.
"We'll see. I'd have to consider a lot of things but, definitely, Celtic is a great club."
Juan Agudelo burst onto the National Team scene in a way that immediately endeared him to US soccer fans. He scored in his first full international appearance. In just a few months, Juan has become a hot topic in American soccer circles, building off his strong showing at youth National Team and Major League Soccer levels. On May 17th, 2012 he was traded to Chivas USA.

Had a laugh at that myself PB.
Pretty sure he might not have the support of the whole city, unless something changed last night when I went to bed.
