If the vultures can be kept away Dembele will go on to become a superstar at the Lane. I would have him in my starting 11 over the horribly overated (as Real are finding out) Modric. The number of times he would get robbed of the ball in our own half used to drive me mad. Dembele has a proper physique, short hair and a general presence that girly Modric can only dream about.

During our bottle job last season, you know the games QPR, Everton and Sunderland away and Norwich at home where was this world class player? He didn't step up and we are well rid.

Modric needs a decent striker to serve.
As Spurs haven't had one since Berbatoss, then we never reaped the true worth of his talents.

Agreed Chronic the whole team stunk during that period but my point is the whole team aren't regarded as world class.

To be honest after his shocking "I'm not playing until I get a move" tactics at the start of last season I kept a very close eye on him and rarely did he impress me.

You try making things happen all season with Scott Parker alongside you!

We got found out, teams realised if you stop Modric you don't have to worry about Parker....no coincidence as soon as Sandro came in we win 3 of 4 and nearly snatched 3rd back

last season we were very lucky that modric stayed fit all season.

its just as concerning that we dont have an adequate replacement for dembele
