Are we only game postponed????

Simple question,

Does anyone know whether we are the only game postponed on boxing day?

Surely must be some other games in London but I haven't seen any other cancellations??

Love a bit of boxing day footy!!!

Yeah, you have a nice xmas too.

I'll probably be back on here on 28th, or on 25th if i'm bored.

800,000 tourists, even from China etc flocked to the West End alone on Boxing Day with no trouble at all. But apparently 60,000 London Club fans couldnt make the trip to a stadium in London.

I see Arsenal used their break well, but it seems West Ham ate too much turkey.

I cannot believe you are still seeing some kind of advantage to us in this. The break is no advantage when you look at what we'll have to do at the end of January.

Imagine 60,000 of those shoppers you mention all emerging from one shop, at one moment, into a busy metropolitan area with only a few, low-capacity methods of transport to get them away.

Don't tell me only 30,000 would turn up. Everyone would turn up, they've got the tickets already. Arriving is not so much of the issue, it's the leaving that is the issue.

You ARE seeing some kind of conspiracy in this, but you failing to see the bigger picture in your determination to see this as Arsenal trying to get one over on their rivals. This is unfathomably close-minded of you.

The resultant fixture congestion is a far bigger problem for a football team than the perceived advantage of a few days extra rest in December.

Darwin

I'm not claiming there is an advantage, i'm just proving to you how X amount of people can travel around London without the need for a train.

If 800,000 tourists can find their way around, i'm sure 60,000 Londoners can.

800,000 people, across an entire shopping district with thousands of shops, over an entire day.

60,000 people, one venue, at the same instant.

Spot the difference.

The difference is 13 times as many people from different borough's, counties & even countries managed to make their way across the capital without the need for a train, with no safety issues, or trouble. Do you not think that out of that 800k people, 60k were not within the same radius as The Emirates at any one time?

Surely the risk of safety is far greater where people are constantly moving around, with the hussle & bustle, compared to 60k people sitting on their backsides for about 2 hours?

Makes no sense at all.

Also, how could Fulham manage to get over 42k people to their respective fixtures, amongst all the shoppers, trouble & safety issues free, but Arsenal & West Ham fans cant get 60k between them to another location?

Ridiculous.

are you still wound up about this?

Wound up?

Not at all. It just defies common logic.

800k > 60k

You're wound up

And Darwin has already explained your flawed logic

It sounds like you're the one getting wound up to b fair.

Yes, Darwin's logic is that 60,000 sitting still for 2 hours is far more dangerous than 800,000 moving around at 100mph.

Yes, makes perfect sense that.
